Despite of the fact that Intel collaborated with Apple to manufacture the first ever Macbook Pro with a thunderbolt port, all those trademarks that were earlier belongs to Apple have been transferred to Intel. According to the company, they originally belongs to Intel irrespective of the operating system wether the port is implemented on systems that have Windows 7 or Mac OS X Snow Leopard installed. Intel, no doubt, has worked hard to bring their newest technology earlier knows as Light Peak aka Thunderbolt in refreshed Macbook Pros.
The Apple has pushed the Intel’s technology further in their newly launched iMacs which features multiple thunderbolt ports in a specific model. Thunderbolt port allows you transfer gigabytes of data using certain peripherals in fraction of seconds. However, transferring the trademarks to Intel will not restrict Apple to expand the technology. It is already in rumors that Apple have plans to launch new Macbook Airs built in thunderbolt port. We will keep you updated once we get more news on it.
